Chocolate shop wraps up Gloucester store

A popular high street chocolate shop is due to close its Gloucester store.

The Eastgate street-based, Thortons has placed a poster inside its window to announce that it will be closing for the final time on Saturday, March 2.

The poster added that the Cheltenham store will remain open, continuing to stock a wide variety of chocolates, sweets and toffees.

The confectioner also closed its Gloucester Quays store back in 2017 to make way for Lindt.

The announcement follows other planned closures across the UK, including Exeter, Perth and Aberdeen.
