A Cirencester-based women's mental health charity has received a funding boost of £1,000 as part of Benefact Group's Movement for Good Awards to support its vital work.

For the sixth year running, Benefact Group has given away £1m to charities through its Movement for Good Awards. Members of the public were invited to nominate causes close to their hearts, with 100 awards of £1,000 announced across the UK and Ireland.

Cirencester and Swindon-based Shine PND Support is a charity set up in 2014 that offers creative art therapy courses, peer support and weekly drop-in sessions for struggling mothers - and the charity is the latest local organisation to benefit from awards initiative.

Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive at Benefact Group, said: "We would like to thank every single person who took the time to nominate a good cause as part of our Movement for Good Awards.
