Sixty promotions for law firm

A law firm with an office in Cheltenham has announced its biggest promotions round to date.

HCR Law has promoted 60 lawyers across its business services and private client teams.

Eight partners, seven legal directors, 10 senior associates and 27 associates were all promoted on April 1. They join eight newly qualified solicitors, who completed their training contracts with the firm in March.

Rod Thomas, managing partner, said: "When people join us from other firms, they recognise that, if they're ambitious for their clients and work hard for client success, they will be valued and rewarded.

"The sheer number of promotions this year shows that the firm is in a strong position. We've invested significantly in developing our staff by extending our mentoring and coaching programmes, and ensuring we provide a growing range of opportunities.

"I'm delighted for those that have been promoted and look forward to further supporting them with their careers."

Individuals being promoted at HCR include specialists in dispute resolution; family law; corporate; banking and finance; commercial; private client; education; employment; agriculture and estates; restructuring and insolvency; and real estate.

HCR Law has more than 800 staff and partners based at offices in Cheltenham, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Hereford, London, Thames Valley, Worcester and the Wye Valley.
